Instead of stooping to the Fireflies' level, Mac, inspired by Madi, her other teammates, and her helpful and encouraging coach, decides that fighting back isn't worth it. I was gifted his book by my friend, the author. We played softball together, but she also remembers me as a coach from a rival city high school. And at one time, I was the state Director of Field Hockey for the RIIL (RI Interscholastic League). I read this children’s storybook of the Twins when I was 69 years old. As I coach, I found it compelling and fundamentally sound. Values. Integrity. Team work. Sportsmanship. Goals I always tried to adhere to.
